Rehabilitation Services include:
According to a report from the U.S. Department of Health Human Services, March 2012, up to half of all patients from psychiatric hospitals require readmission within 1 year of discharge.
Many of these readmissions can be attributed to treatment factors including noncompliance with medication and lack of outpatient and community support. To address this vulnerability within this population, the following factors were found helpful in reducing the need for psychiatric hospitalizations:

The World Psychiatric Association (WPA) highlighted that the aim of psychosocial rehabilitation is to support people with SMI in developing their cognitive, emotional and social skills, in order to live in the community with the slightest professional sustenance.
The premise of psychosocial rehabilitation is that, beyond clinical severity, each patient has strengths and resources on which rehabilitation could be addressed.

What are your hours?
The hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:30AM to 8PM.
What types of payment does Mar-Lyn accept?
Mar-Lyn is a private pay program. In some circumstances, we will accept housing vouchers that have already been assigned. Insurance companies may reimburse expenses. Please contact you insurance provider to confirm coverage.
HOW LONG DO RESIDENTS GENERALLY STAY?
Mar-Lyn is long term supportive housing. Residents commit to a minimum of one year.
DOES MAR-LYN ENSURE RESIDENTS SEE THEIR DOCTOR'S REGULARLY?
The case management provided by Mar-Lyn staff will track all doctor/therapy appointments and will also communicate with other providers and treatment team members to ensure continuity of care.
CAN THE RESIDENTS BRING THEIR OWN FURNITURE, OR DO ROOMS COME FURNISHED?
Bedrooms are private, and are furnished with bed, bedframe, end table and dresser. Soft surfaces, and upholstered furniture are not allowed in the community, unless they are shipped brand new directly from the vendor. Hard surface and non-porous.

What are your hours?
Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8 AM to 4 PM.
How do I know if I’m eligible?
We provide services to adults 18+ years of age who have a primary behavioral health diagnosis and want to participate in services. It’s also important to be in active outpatient treatment with either a psychiatrist and/or therapist.
What types of services do you offer?
We provide educational groups and skills based services to learn about healthy relationships, coping strategies and independent living skills. We assist with case management needs such applying for benefits, transportation and housing.
What can I expect from the program?
We offer a variety of ways to participate in our program. You have the option of coming to our on-site location, receiving outreach services, receiving telehealth calls and/or attending our virtual online groups. You will be assigned a Rehabilitation Coordinator (RC) who is your advocate. Your RC will provide services 1-2 times/week and help you with establishing and reaching your goals.
Do you provide transportation?
There are a variety of ways to get to our on-site location. We provide transportation based on your address. We also help our clients to apply for public transportation resources.
Do you provide meals?
Depending on the location you’re attending, yes we do.
Can you help connect me with outpatient providers?
We have professional relationships with providers in the community and can make referrals as needed.
What if I have an emergency after-hours?
We have clinical staff available for emergencies after program hours. You will be given the on-call phone number upon enrollment. If you need other urgent help, we will provide you with resources for your local emergency room, crisis bed program or mental health crisis hotline.
